grid maps according to specifications provided in the documentation
Tasks involved

Warping of the Scanned files.
-
Digitization – Required information was captured from
source documents in a digital environment. Specific menus and tools were
developed for ease of use and to minimize the amount of software training
required for an employee to be proficient at digitization. It involved
placing the information as per facility grid maps in design files generated
to a scale of 1”=400’. Scanned files were used as reference files for digitization
of the landbase. Multiple sources also existed for the same area of land.
All the rasters were reviewed to identify what areas of land contains facility.
Edge matching between the files was ensured.
-
Quality Check – Color plots were taken for each file
to check for missing entities and proper placement of the features. Specific
software routines were developed to check for snapping errors. Each database
feature and edge matching was checked on screen.
-
Delivery – Regular deliveries were made twice a week
of the graphic and non-graphic files on CD to the client.
