Digital Aerial Photogrammetry – Georeferencing and Orthophotos creation of river area photos

This project involved creation of orthophotos from aerial photos without any georeferencing information. The main goal of the project was to actually note the change of course of the Isar river in Germany over the years. Input georeferenced black/white photos which were almost 20 years old were used to match the new photos. The biggest challenge was to match the control points correctly due to large variations in the images. Orthophotos were generated followed by mosaiced tiles.
